I haven't read a lot of this genre, but I absolutely loved it. It was very hot n steamy,( I loved that it wasn't YA) if I would have known it was adult I would have read it sooner. I loved the Angels, Immortals from other realms, demons and demoniis, gifted mortals with physic abilities, girls that can change their hair color with a thought and a fresh new take on the paranormal. There was a lot of action and hot tempered muscled men that you just wanted to jump on. the story was wonderful and original with great characters. I can't wait too read the next one. I am a fan of Georgia Lyn Hunter and found a new series to get lost in.

Had never read one of her books but after reading this one I’m hooked anyone who enjoys the paranormal must read Absolute Surrender it was very well written and the characters will grab and hold you
Guy meets girl,both stubborn and bad ass,chemistry sizzling and popping,they hit and miss and miss and hit,kissing and arguing ,fighting and spitting, coming and going like a couple of angry cats neither wanting to give in or back down..... Both hunting demons for different reasons but both wanting the same thing at the end of the day... At 1st I found this story interesting and I was having fun w/their chemistry and their back and forth motions but then, after it got old,real OLD real fast,it was the same thing over and over and over stubbornness can be needed in both stories and life but these two ? Well stubborn can ride a fine line w/just plain stupidity and these two after got in that line and stayed there... Echo honestly was kinda like her name a sound that bounces around out of no where,w/regards to her safety her need for vengeance over a friends death gave her some lame excuse for more aggravating TSTL moments than I can count and if she wasn't foolishly risking her life despite all that she was told about her self,how needed she was and how much more powerful her enemies were than she thought she was in this insanely STUPID battle for Aethsn to pull his head of his rear and claim her..... Which btw doesn't happen til over 80% of the book.... Up until then Aethsn is all I can't I killed a human w/my powers over 3000 years ago,at 1st it was O damn! I'm sorry man but after he'd played his push me, pull me thing w/Echo loving on her one sec and making her feel rejected " for her own good" (BS!) for the umpteenth time it was more like "shut your whiney ass up" and claim your damn fated mate already!!! Come in!!! That shouldn't have been allowed to drag on til over 80% of the book,this I can't have her ( because I'm too big a coward to try or find out ) but I won't let her go or let any one else have her... Geez,but the time they finally got a clue and mated,I didn't really give a damn anymore and quit a chapter later... Come on,if the h or H is a TRUE "Fated Mate" to you then THEY ARE MADE FOR YOU!!! Which means they can take it !!! But Aethen was too stupid/stubborn/cowardly to research any of this and try and figure it out,no it was better to constant hurt and reject you mate and feel sorry for yourself..... I started off loving this,interesting story,GREAT sizzling chemistry between the 2 MC's but slowly just became this annoying push/pull between them and the demon prophecy that honestly wasn't all that interesting by the end of the book.... Thanks but no more... Was curious about the next book but think I'll pass..
As soon as I picked up this book I was sucked in for 9 hours straight! After reading this book I feel like I need to go back and give every other book I've rated 5 stars and knock them down to 4 stars because nothing I've read from this genre has been as good as Echo and Aethan's story. The ending was a little rushed, but it was a good ending so that's good enough for me. So again be warned, once you start it's nearly impossible to put down!
I absolutely loved this book, although it kinda reminded me of Gena Showalter's work. Saying that though the book was different and honestly it has a great story line . I would definitely read all the books in this series,and it is stand alone.
Within the first 17 pages of the book I was able to accurately predict the story line. Guess I’m not a big fan of the instant love and relationship just because the characters are destined to be together. Other series I have read that pull off the destined mate idea successfully, still build up the platform of a relationship. Can’t do the instantly in love without knowing anything about each other. Especially with Echo’s background there should have been more resistance.

Contemplated not even finishing the book from the beginning because of the predictability, decided to finish. I won’t be reading the rest of their series.
recommended this one to me, and I'm so glad it did! I was hooked from pretty much the first page and couldn't put it down. Echo is smart, sarcastic, and an awesome heroine, while Aethan was compelling and three dimensional. This book switches between the perspective of the two of them, so you always have an inside look at their character, which I love. It's definitely a romance, but still has an interesting plot that makes it hard to put down. Definitely recommend for anyone who loves the paranormal romance category, or just likes a good story💕
I couldn't wait for the "absolute surrender" to happen and it took almost the entirety of the book for it to happen, but it was worth the wait! A great climax to a an intriguing love story filled with action, passion, and characters you will fall in love with! I wasn't expecting all of the twists woven throughout the entire book from beginning to end. I couldn't put it down. I was hoping for one more steamy scene between Aethan and Echo at the end, but it still felt complete. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!
