My 10 year old daughter loves this series! I am not sure why this book is so difficult to find (it isn't in our HUGE library system and finding a new/used copy for a decent price took some patience), but we finally found this used library copy for $17 and she loved every page. This is the 5th book of the series and she has loved every minute of reading it!

Aww my Urchin, what can I say? I have loved this series since book 1. Once again the animals of Mismantle are in trouble. But they band together and do what needs to be done. I will miss this series and all it's sweet characters, especially Urchin.
The Mistmantle Chronicles is a beautifully written story that grips you more with each progressive book, great for young and old alike. Urchin and the Rage Tide brings this tale to a powerful climax full of sorrow and joy. Just wonderful!
Great series for any age. Most refreshing to read books that hold the reader spellbound, eagerly seeking the next page. The common thread of Good over Evil is what every book should be about. Especially for the age this series is targeted to. Then again all ages need reminding to always seek the good and always to help those in need.

I hope there will be more in this Chronicle/series to come. Extremely well written.
My eight year and I loved Mistmantle, but characters die - in every book. But love always wins. The stories get pretty dramatic, so a younger child might think it’s awful.
I haven't found a series quite like this before. It's fun, touching, and has always had good characters and storyline in my opinion. It's my favorite series. Also, I'm relieved I finally could find this book at a reasonable price, because when it first came out, Rage Tide must have had limited copies released because at one point the book was 300$ on at one point. I love books but that was a bit much for me.
Anyway, it got here in good time and in good shape. Thank you very much. I loved this book!
The final installment of the Mistmantle Chronicles to date is as good as it's four predecessors if not even better. This time around, the creatures of Mistmantle must not only face the dangerous fanaticism of one of their own neighbors, but also the crushing power of nature unleashed. Faith in a higher power remains a prevalent element, as does patience in the face of difficult times.
