Erin Hunter's characters seem like family and I root for the good ones and boo the bad ones.
That seems to be a silly statement, however, I get totally wrapped up in the adventure of the
story and the characters seem brave, capable, and manage to get threw the story. Erin's
books offer something for everyone and they are real page turners. I look forward to future
books written by Erin.
My 11 year daughter can’t read these books fast enough. She’s a cat lover to the core and adores the series. I highly recommend.
Of course I have read the first two complete sets in this series and am anxiously awaiting to begin the first book in the next set. My grand kids got me started on these books, and now I am hooked! I am not even a cat lover, and yet these books have captivated not only my attention but am beginning to look at cats in a different light. New Prophecy #6 has lived up to my expectations from having read all of the 11 previous books. Erin Hunter has managed to not only give the readers an imaginative look into the life of 'forest' cats, but she brings in so many worthwhile topics for discussion and study - family, loyalty, spirituality, respect of elders and authority, just to mention a few. These books were written for the grade school student, but I challenge , anyone to read just the first book and not get hooked on this feline world of Warrior Cats.
I can't wait to get into the next set. I have them ordered and they will get here today. Guess I'd better get my work done before the mail gets here.🐱
I chose to guve this book all five stars because it was so mysterious, emotional. I felt how the cats felt every chapter. And i was so shocked of what happened to the medicine cat Cinderpelt.. I believe thatbiss her name. I enjoyed this book so much it was hard to put down and hard to control my tears on the train. I just hope we have Firestar living throughout these series.. I am not ready for him to go to Starclan. I'm glad that Squirrelfight and Brambleclaw made up. She didn't work with Ashfur. But i will be getting the next book after I send this review off. We should make this into a series on TV.
The story picks up where book 5, "Twilight", leaves off. The badger attack on the cats of Thunderclan was devestating and now the clan has to put the pieces back together. That combined with the old nemesis of the dead Tigerclaw trying to lead his two sons, Brambleclaw and Hawkfrost in a strategy to take over leadership of all the clans makes for a good story. There are quite a few sub-plots as well that need to be wrapped up, not the least of which is the overarching prophecy that has been largely in the background through these six books. There is a lot to be wrapped up here but I never felt like the plot was rushed in order to get it all done.

I'll always look back fondly on this series and I highly recommend them to parents looking for good books to read with their children. Just don't start them too young because there is a fair amount of violence and death among the clans.
My son loves the Warriors books. For a 14 yr old who typically wants a video game over a book, this impresses me. He enjoys the pace and writing in these novels, and the subject matter interests him. He even named a pet after a character in this series.

The book arrived quickly and was new, as stated. A great value as well. I now get all of his Warriors books on .
